Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishore has announced that he will contest from Karghar assembly seat of Rohtas. This was announced by Prashant Kishore in a digital channel’s Conclave on Wednesday (September 03, 2025). Santosh Mishra is currently an MLA from Congress from this seat. 2Talking about the election of 020, Vasistha Singh of Nitish Kumar’s party JDU was second from here.
Prashant Kishore said that anyone should fight his birthplace or karmabhoomi. However, he also said that Nitish Kumar does not contest elections, if he fights, he would also fight from the same seat.
Prashant Kishore said that he said about Tejashwi Yadav that he will fight Raghopur, and from where he will fight. However, PK also clearly said that the party will decide on contesting his own elections.

On the other hand, in Sitamarhi, Bihar, JDU National General Secretary Manish Verma said on Wednesday (September 03, 2025), “Jan Suraj is a votecutwa party. They are not getting a seat, share the cards as much as you have to distribute. Divide the profit cards and confuse people. People will throw this profit card in the drain.”
