Jyoti Singh, wife of Bhojpuri film star and BJP’s star campaigner Pawan Singh, is contesting as an independent candidate from Karakat assembly seat. The results of the assembly elections (2025) will be released on Friday (November 14, 2025). Jyoti Singh is relieved before the result. In the case of FIR registered, Jyoti Singh got bail from the court on Thursday (November 13, 2025). The FIR was lodged by SDM Prabhat Kumar.
What is the whole matter?
A raid was conducted on the night of 10th in a hotel located on Dehri Road in Bikramganj. Jyoti Singh was staying here. He also had some supporters. During this time there was an altercation between the team that had gone to raid and Jyoti Singh. The video had surfaced. The very next day, SDM Prabhat Kumar had filed an FIR against Jyoti Singh.
Jyoti Singh made allegations
In this case, Jyoti Singh had filed a bail petition in the court through his advocate. The case was heard and he was granted bail by the court of Sub-Judge Rajesh Kumar. After getting relief from the court, Jyoti Singh, while talking to the media, made serious allegations against the administration. He said, “Since the time of my nomination, some officers have been conspiring at the behest of the opposition parties. First an attempt was made to get my nomination cancelled, but when they failed in that, now my hotel room was searched without a woman constable. This is a well-planned move by my opponents who are scared of my increasing public support.”
On the other hand, Jyoti Singh also expressed apprehension that SDM Prabhat Kumar might rig the counting of votes. He has submitted a complaint letter to the election observer in this regard and has demanded that the SDM be kept away from the vote counting process.
SDM Prabhat Kumar has not yet given any formal response in this matter. According to administrative sources, the search operation at the hotel was a routine investigation procedure under the election code of conduct.
