In Gopalganj, miscreants set a police vehicle on fire. After the rumor of death of three people in a road accident, people got enraged and burnt the police inspector’s car. The car burst into flames and a tense atmosphere was created. To control the angry crowd, the police also released tear gas shells. The police administration has claimed to have the situation completely under control after hard work.
As soon as the information was received, SP Awadhesh Dixit himself reached the spot. At present, the police has started operating vehicles on NH-27. The accused are being identified. Some people have also been detained.
There was a rumor of death due to police car
SP Awadhesh Dixit said, “Three people were injured in a Scorpio in a road accident near Jadopur Chowk of the city police station area. The Sadar Inspector’s car was chasing that car. Meanwhile, someone spread a rumor that three people had died in a police vehicle, after which people became furious and targeted the police and set the vehicle on fire.
The injured were admitted to the hospital
Giving information, SP further said that the people injured in the accident have been sent to Sadar Hospital for treatment. The injured have been identified as Nandu Chauhan, resident of Lakhpatiya Mode of Nagar police station, Ayshan Ali and Raj Hussain, residents of Ekderwa village.
Action will be taken after identifying the accused
At the same time, the police is saying that action will be taken to identify the accused in this case. Police have also detained some people while firing tear gas shells. They are being interrogated. On the basis of the video, investigation is being done whether these people are involved in the incident or not.
