BCCI has kept its financial condition strong despite being out of sponsorship of Dream-11 and reduction in revenue from ICC. According to the draft budget presented in the Apex Council meeting, the total income of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for FY 2025-2026 is estimated at ₹8,963 crore.
Dream-11 had ended its ₹358 crore jersey sponsorship deal in August. The reason was the government’s Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025, which banned Real Money Gaming (RMG). Dream-11’s business depended on this, so it became necessary to end the deal.
BCCI is not affected by the decline in ICC revenue.
BCCI gets 38.5% share from ICC. This year, due to less revenue from ICC events, the total income is expected to be less than last year, but BCCI has balanced it.
Compensation from BCCI’s new sponsorship deals
After the exit of Dream-11, BCCI has signed a jersey sponsorship deal with Adidas at a higher valuation. A separate deal was also signed with Apollo Tyres.
According to the Apex Council note, despite the exit of sponsors like Dream-11, BCCI has secured a new jersey sponsorship deal for the next 2.5 years at a higher valuation.
Increase in board’s general fund and surplus
BCCI’s General Fund increased from ₹7,988 crore to ₹11,346 crore in FY 2024-2025. Whereas the surplus stood at ₹3,358 crore. Interest income has also increased due to strong treasury management.
BCCI’s growth continues despite challenges
BCCI is dependent on strong revenue streams from IPL, international matches, ICC shares and sponsorships. BCCI continues to grow despite challenges due to strong financial management.
