Meanwhile, a big news has come, the BCCI has imposed a lifetime ban on the former co-owner of the Mumbai T20 League team, Gurmeet Singh Bhamrah, for trying for match fixing.

According to the report, BCCI Lokpal Justice Arun Mishra has banned Gurmeet Singh Bhamrah, former co-owner of the Mumbai T20 League team. He is accused of contacting Dhawal Kulkarni and Bhavin Thakkar for match fixing during the second edition played in 2019. Dhawal is a well -known face who has played for Mumbai Indians in IPL but has now retired. He has also played 12 ODIs and 2 T20 International matches for India.

Gurmeet Singh Bhamrahh was also associated with the GT20 Canada League, which is now closed. He is no longer included in the Mumbai T20 League. Bhamrahrah was a co-owner of Sobo Supersonics. It has not been told in the order how many years they have been banned, but according to the BCCI’s anti -corruption code, it can be a lifetime ban from 5 years.

Mumbai T20 League returning after 6 years

The first edition of the Mumbai T20 League was played in 2018, after which its second edition was played next year i.e. in 2019. But after this, Korona affected the tournament, after which this league was not played. This year the third edition of the tournament will be played, with the brand ambassador Rohit Sharma. Rohit also recently unveiled the trophy. It is expected that this league will begin after the IPL 2025 is over.
