Mohammad Yunus, the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, said on Tuesday that efforts are being made to mislead people by spreading wrong information. He described it as an attempt to “destabilize the country”. Aunus’s statement has come amid reports of rising political stress and potential coup.

Yunus issued a statement saying, “As you know, the media and social media have been rumored since the interim government came to power. Efforts are being made to mislead people by spreading false information one after the other to destabilize the country.”

He said that “rumors are being spread in new ways. A second picture is being added with a picture. One incidents are being made one after the other. Such photo cards are being made and the incidents of other countries are being posted on social media by telling the incidents of this country.”

He further said, ‘As the elections come closer, wrong information will be spread rapidly. You all know who is behind it and why. We have sought cooperation from the United Nations to prevent the propagation of these rumors and false principles. The UN Secretary -General has assured us of our cooperation in dealing with it. “

Conflict of coup
In fact, the news of the coup in Bangladesh was strengthened when there was a meeting between Army Chief General Warenie Uj Zaman and student leaders and stuck intensified after the army’s alleged activities in Dhaka. Sources told India Today that the army can consider removing Yunus and taking control of the interim government in its own hands.

On March 25, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department denied such claims, saying that these reports are “false and concocted”. This situation is coming out in the backdrop of military increasing campaigns in Dhaka, which are allegedly run with protest rallies. Joint security forces have intensified patrolling from Friday morning and constituted several posts.

Bangladeshi Social Media Influencer Pinaki Bhattacharya, who lives in France, had urged extremists and students to protest against the army chief (CAS).
