Mohibul Hasan Choudhary, who was a minister in the government of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has made a shocking claim. He has said that America’s humanitarian agency USAID and the Clinton family together created the movement in Bangladesh due to which Hasina’s government fell. He says that this entire incident was pre-planned and the interests of western countries were hidden behind it.

‘Many organizations including USAID were running the campaign since 2018’
Mohibul Hasan Chaudhary made this allegation in an interview given to a news channel. He said, ‘Some American non-governmental organizations, especially USAID and the International Republican Institute, had been campaigning against our government since 2018. These institutions were getting funding from western countries.
Former minister also made a big claim regarding Mohammad Yunus
The former minister claimed that Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus, who now heads the interim government of Bangladesh, was in touch with the US for a long time. He said, ‘The Clinton family and Yunus have a years-old relationship. He kept trying to change the government of Bangladesh from behind the scenes.
‘Millions of dollars from USAID were used in the riots’
He raised the question that where did the millions of dollars of aid given by USAID to Bangladesh go? He alleged that ‘this money was not spent in helping the public, but in bringing down the government and instigating riots.’ Chaudhary said that the violent student movement that took place in July-August 2024 was organized with this money. At least 700 people were killed in that violence and there were also reports of attacks on Hindu minorities at many places.

America rejected the allegations
America has rejected these allegations as ridiculous and has said that it has no involvement in the incidents in Bangladesh. Let us tell you that Sheikh Hasina left the country and came to India on 5 August 2024, when her house in Dhaka came under attack by protesters, currently she is living in Delhi. The Yunus administration formed after the fall of Hasina government has also made major changes in the foreign policy, now Bangladesh is getting closer to Pakistan, Pakistan had committed genocide in Bangladesh in 1971.
