Pakistan’s army said on Friday that 18 of the 26 bounds killed by the militants of the Balochistan Liberation Army were soldiers and paramilitary forces. During a press conference with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary said that 26 hostages were killed by terrorists before the start of army operation.

He said, “26 hostages include 18 army and paramilitary personnel, three other government officials and five citizens.”

He also said that five paramilitary force personnel of Frontier Corps were killed during the operation, including four personnel of Frontier Corps.

BLA had hijacked Jafar Express

The militants of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) ambushed over 400 passengers carrying more than 400 passengers in Boluchistan’s Bolon area on Tuesday and attacked the passengers hostage, after which the security forces started the campaign which lasted till evening the next day.

Rescue operation lasted for 30 hours

Security forces started rescue work on the train on Wednesday, lasted for 30 hours. During this time all 33 terrorists were killed and more than 300 passengers were successfully rescued. A army spokesman said a total of 354 hostages were rescued, including 37 injured passengers.

Pakistan accused of Pakistan

Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary once again accused India of spreading unrest in the province. He said, “Our neighboring country is the main sponsor of terrorism in Pakistan.”

The Pakistani Army spokesperson also showed an alleged video of former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, in which he has confessed to the involvement of India’s detective agency Raw in terrorist activities in Balochistan.

He shared the statements of some Indian leaders and officials including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval about terrorism and then said that the Jafar Express train was a part of the same scheme. “

India’s blunt

Earlier in the day, India dismissed the allegations of supporting terrorism against Pakistan and said that Islamabad should look into itself before blaming others for its failures. India also said that the whole world knows where the center of global terrorism is.

Talking about the difference in the number of passengers boarding the train and the passengers rescued on the train, Chief Minister Bugti said that the Railways had issued 425 tickets, but may not have climbed all the stations, while some were expected to climb from other stations.

He also said that it is expected that some passengers would have fled from the spot at the time of killing the terrorists and they may come back in the next few days. He also said that two passengers, who were hidden, came back.

Pak army running intelligence operation

The army spokesman said that Pakistan’s security forces are running around 180 intelligence operations every day to end the threat of terrorism. In 2024, 59,775 operations were carried out and 11,654 operations have been done so far in 2025. So far 1,250 terrorists have been killed in 2024 and 2022.

Talking about the increase in terrorism in recent years, the army spokesperson said that the main reason for this is Afghanistan, where terrorists are getting space and restricted organizations such as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) support, training and manpower.

He said, “But the enemies of Pakistan do not want peace and progress in Pakistan and use terrorists as a proxy for this purpose.”

Giving information about the military campaign, he showed through maps that it was very difficult to reach the area. The terrorists blew the track and killed four soldiers of the posted Frontier Corps. He also said that the terrorists were in touch with their masters in Afghanistan during the entire operation.
