Ballia court verdict, 25 years imprisonment for man convicted of sexual harassment lcly

A court in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh has sentenced a man to 25 years in prison for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl. A police officer gave this information to a news agency. According to which, in the decision pronounced on Monday, Ballia Additional District Judge (POCSO) Pratham Kant has also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the convict Mannu Bharti.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Omveer Singh said that on December 16, 2023, Bharti took the girl, a resident of Nagara police station area, to a bush in front of her house and sexually assaulted her. An FIR was registered against Bharti based on the complaint of the girl’s mother.

25 years imprisonment with a fine of Rs 25,000

SP said that on Monday, Additional District Judge (POCSO) sentenced Bharti to 25 years imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on him. This decision has been given on the basis of witnesses and statements.
