Army Chief Gen Upenndra Dwivedi on Fourth General Bipin Rawat Memorial Lecture in Delhi

Gen upndra dwivedi: Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said on Sunday that China is emerging as a major economic and strategic power and is hindering India’s efforts to become the leader of Global South. He also said that Africa is the power center of the future and India needs to consider it. General Dwivedi was speaking at the fourth General Bipin Rawat Memorial Lecture in Delhi. During this, he also talked about his strategic plans remembering former Army Chief Rawat.

General Dwivedi said, ‘The rise of China as a major economic and strategic power of China is increasing the difficulties for India. He is creating competition and obstructs India’s efforts to become a natural leader of global South. We need to pay attention to the possibilities of Africa as a future power center, along with managing democratic changes and resource control.

‘We were stopped again and again’
He said, ‘India’s position will remain important in the world due to geographical location, democracy, democracy, prosperity, soft power and inclusive approach. Currently, despite being the largest population, the largest population, the largest democracy, the 7th largest terrain and geopolitical place, remains in a relatively lower global place. We were stopped repeatedly and due to this we had less capacity to shape directly important international decisions. Even BRICs faced failures.

General Bipin Rawat remembered
The Army Chief, advocating the multi-wise arrangement, recalled former Army Chief Bipin Rawat and talked about the importance of India’s coordination with his colleagues at Global South. He said, ‘I imagine what guidelines would have given us in this matter if General Rawat had been. Shayah, he would say that the anti-colonial allied country like us should give importance to the multi-other system. The coming of nations together prevents global stress. In such a situation, it is important to be a part of all organizations like SCO, BRICS, BIMSTEC and Indian Ocean Regional Union.

What to do?
General Upendra Dwivedi said, ‘Representatives of Global South should be included in the United Nations Security Council. India will now have to play an active role in the conflict solution as a conversation or mediation country. Use the positive power of Indian migrants around the world. Share a platform for global commerce, help in the emergence of global South, be at the forefront of sharing additional resources with the deprived for better socio-economic development. India will have to lead peace campaigns, to deal with Jammu and Kashmir, Northeast and leftist extremism, as well as leading the global war on terrorism.
