Let’s start from the beginning, when, how and why come to Mumbai?

How did the first break?

Independent direction started in 1996 with Doordarshan’s show ‘Tarang’. This was followed by Star Plus of a series named ‘Sahar’, and then became part of several projects continuously. Between 2005 and 2011, I produced many shows, but one day I realized that my real dream was to make films. Just then, the TV left and started working on films.

What was your career turning point?

The biggest turning point of my career was ‘Sure Aana’. The film was well liked by the audience. Its songs still remain in people’s playlists. After the success of this film, I got offers from many TV shows again, but I refused because I knew that my path is now from films. I believe that no work should be done just to earn money. Work should be done in which happiness is found.

There has been a memorable scene in the direction so far, which does not forget forget?

Shooting of the film ‘Shaadi Mein Surre Aana’, the shooting of the song ‘Tu Ban Ja Gali Banaras Ki’, there is a shot in which the train is passing from behind Rajkumar and Kriti. That scene does not forget me even today. After that I have also made two films ‘Middle Class Love’ and ‘Kisko Thi Pahn’, but I do not forget the first love and first film.
