Amit Shah Ordered Formation Of An Inter-ministerial Team For Investigation Into Deaths In Rajouri – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has ordered the formation of an inter-ministerial team to visit a village in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. The main objective of this team is to find out the reasons for the deaths that occurred in three incidents in the last six weeks. According to an official statement, the team will be led by a senior official of the Union Home Ministry. It will also include experts from the ministries of health and family welfare, agriculture, chemicals and fertilizers and water resources.

The team will also be assisted by experts from animal husbandry, food safety and forensic science laboratories. The central team will move forward on Sunday and will work with the local administration to provide immediate relief as well as take precautionary measures to prevent such incidents in future. Experts from some of the most prestigious institutions in the country have been arranged to manage the situation and understand the causes of the deaths.

At least 16 people have died due to a mysterious disease in Baddal village of Rajouri district in the last 45 days. People complained of fever, pain, nausea and loss of consciousness before dying within days of being admitted to hospitals. The condition of one girl remains critical. Earlier, a spokesperson of the Jammu and Kashmir government said that investigation and samples have empirically indicated that the incidents were not due to a communicable disease of bacterial or viral origin and have no public health aspect.
