Airtel users will soon start getting 5G internet at double the speed. The company has started preparations for its advanced 5G service. The company has started rolling out dual-mode 5G network. In this service, users will get access to both non-standalone (NSA) and standalone (SA) 5G networks. The company has decided to roll out dual-mode 5G during a recent earnings investor call. Soon, this advanced 5G network will be rolled out in all telecom circles of the country.
Dual-mode 5G service
The company’s Managing Director Gopal Vittal has recently announced that Airtel’s FWA cluster is being migrated to dual-mode 5G. Because of this, Airtel AirFiber users will start getting better connectivity. Airtel is going to roll out dual-mode 5G service in 13 telecom circles of the country. At the same time, preparations are being made to roll it out in some telecom circles also.
Airtel launched NSA 5G service on its existing 4G infrastructure in 2022. The company is now also rolling out SA i.e. Stand Alone 5G network along with the existing 4G. At the same time, Reliance Jio had launched SA i.e. Stand Alone 5G service across India. In NSA + SA network, users will get stable internet speed of 5G, due to which connectivity will be better.
Will recharge plans be expensive?
Talking about other news related to Airtel, the telecom company can make its plans expensive in the next month i.e. December. Apart from Airtel, Vodafone-Idea is also going to make its recharge plans expensive. In many reports recently, the telecom company has recommended increasing the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU). Telecom companies had made recharge plans expensive in July last year. Plans of all private telecom companies had become costlier by 20 to 25 percent. However, no official announcement has been made by Airtel and Vodafone-Idea to make the plans expensive.
