Its right engine was repaired in March 2025 and the left engine was examined in April 2025. Both the aircraft and the engine were regularly tested, in which there was no problem before the flight.
Wilson said that along with the airline, the entire aviation industry is waiting for the official investigation report to know the cause of this tragedy. He said that as a remedy for restoration of confidence, the airline is increasing its boiling 787 and 777 fleet flight security checks.
Decided to cut international flights
Wilson said that, keeping in mind the timely impact on the time and operation of flights in these additional investigations, AI has decided to cut its international flights with large aircraft from 20 June to July by about 15 per cent.
He said, “This will help us to keep more aircraft ready to deal with any problem. We feel that this temporary decrease in our flight operations can affect your travel plans. We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience. ”

Wilson said that the company is fully committed to make every effort to help the families affected by this tragedy and is working closely with the authorities to find out the cause of this aircraft accident. He said, “Our condolences are with everyone affected by this damage.”
