Microsoft on Ai: If you are engaged in works like writer, translator or customer service, then now be alert AI AI is making a direct impact on your job. On the other hand, if you are associated with work like nurse, mechanic or laborer, then your job is being considered safe for now. A recent report of Microsoft Research, which is based on 2 lakh AI interactions related to Bing Copilot (now Microsoft Copilot), shows that AI is gradually changing the functioning of many jobs in real world.
AI Which jobs are affecting the most?
Microsoft has prepared an AI Applicability Score in this report. This score is based on what kind of work people are doing with AI AI how well it does, and how wide its effect is.
Jobs of these fields are first being affected:
- Translator and interpreter
- Author and content creator
- Sales representative
- Customer service agent
- Editors and proofers
Apart from these, journalists, historians, technical writers, teachers and professionals related to public relations are also being affected. There is a similarity in all these, information based on information, dialogue and content which AI can do faster and accuracy.
Which jobs are safe at the moment?
The work that requires physical hard work or human care is still out of AI’s reach. These include:
- Nurse and health assistants
- Roof construction and cement workers
- Truck driver and heavy machine operators
- Washing utensils, scavengers
- Massage therapist and medical technician
This is because AI tools like Copilot, GPT or Claude can only suggest but cannot do any physical work by themselves.
Are good salary jobs also in danger?
Microsoft’s report states that there is no direct connection between salary and AI effects. Mid-level or creative jobs are getting more affected, while high-paid or expertise jobs are currently not affected that much. A degree like BA does not make much difference, AI can affect all.

If your work is associated with reading, writing, doing research or explaining, then understand that you are already sharing workbench with AI. Even though AI does not take away your job right now, but it is definitely changing how you do it.
