The organization said that such incidents at the national level have increased from 167 in 2006 to 1,125 in 2022, which is a violation of the targets set by the Ministry of Aviation. The think tank said that it has sent an informal letter to the Directorate General of Aviation (DGCA), seeking to implement the aircraft Rules, 1937 Rule 91 of the aircraft rule, 1937 to reduce the possibilities of such confrontation.

According to the aircraft rules, 1937, there is a ban on depositing animal slaughter and skin as well as garbage and other polluting substances in the ten-kilometer filed of the airport. The PAPPF said that the Ministry of Aviation has over the years that meat shops near the airports, slaughterhouses, pig rearing, dairy and piles of open garbage attract birds, which increases the risk of bird colliding. In a statement in Parliament in 2007, the Ministry admitted that the removal of meat shops from around the airports would definitely reduce the incidents of bird collision.
