John Abraham’s film ‘The Diplomat’ will be released on 14 March 2025 in theater. Directed by Shivam Nair, the film stars Sadia Khatib, Jagjit Sandhu, Kumud Mishra and Sharib Hashmi with John Abraham. The story of ‘The Diplomat’ is not only an example of the struggle of an Indian woman, but also proves that when it comes to India’s sovereignty and safety of citizens, the diplomats of the country are ready to protect them by risking their lives. The length of this film is 2 hours. Dainik Bhaskar has given the film a 3.5 star rating out of 5.

What is the story of the film?

The film is based on real events and Indian diplomatic J.P. Shows the story of Singh (John Abraham). Her life changes when Uzma Ahmed (Sadia Khatib) seeks help in the Indian Embassy in Islamabad. Uzma claims that she was forcibly married by Pakistani citizen Tahir Ali (Jagjit Sandhu). In this challenging situation J.P. Singh has to fulfill the responsibility of bringing Uzma to a safe India by making a balance between law, international diplomacy and pressure from the governments of both countries.

How is the acting of Star Cast?

John Abraham not only J.P. Singh’s character is played with full seriousness, but has also produced this film with Bhushan Kumar. It is a separate and influential film of his, in which he has left a strong impact from only expressions and body language without action and heavy dialogues. Sadia Khatib, as Ujma Ahmed, has introduced her character’s pain, helplessness and helplessness with extreme reality, which shocks the audience.

Jagjit Sandhu has done a strong job as Villain Tahir Ali. Earlier, Jagjit, who has made a mark with his brilliant performance in Patal Lok, has also got his talent ironed here. A glimpse of dreadful intentions in his eyes and dialogue delivery increases the effect of the character even more. Sharib Hashmi and Kumud Mishra have balanced the serious atmosphere of the film with their presence and light-hearted style, in which John Abraham has also supported him well. Revathi has left a different impression in the role of Sushma Swaraj.

How is the direction?

Director Shivam Nair has directed thriller projects like Shabana and Special Oms before this film. He has also done tremendous work here. The tension of the film is already felt by the scene and does not allow the audience to move from the seat till the end. Ritesh Shah’s story, screenplays and dialogues strengthen the film. Camera work and closeup shots are particularly effective, which keep the audience tied to the story.

How is the music of the film?

There is no song in the film, which takes the right decision according to its story. The background music maintains thrilling and intensity to the atmosphere. In some scenes, sound has been used in a tremendous way, which has both emotional and exciting effects.

Final Wordict of the film, see or not

On 25 May 2017, Uzma returned to India from the Wagah border, where Sushma Swaraj welcomed her as ‘daughter of India’ and appreciated her bravery. Finally in the film, Rongte stands up after seeing this scene. This exciting and emotional true event is now very beautifully introduced on the big screen. A great attempt has been made to make the film interesting without adding masala. This film is definitely worth watching.
