Telangana Plant Explosion: Debris Clearance Almost Over, Sigachi Unit Has NoC from Fire Dept – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live


The work of removing debris from Sigachi Industries’s pharma plant, who was a blast two days ago in Telangana, is almost complete. The number of people who lost their lives in the accident remains 36. Apart from this, an official of the district said on Wednesday that the unit did not have a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Fire Department for operations. The unit still has no NOC.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj told PTI that according to the NDRF team, the work of removing debris has almost been completed. No other dead body has been found. We are still searching for missing people. For any kind of event or untoward state, each team of SDRF and Hydra is present as standby.

Asked if there is any flaw found in the factory? Pankaj said that this is a technical matter. It is to be investigated by expert teams. The Sangreddy police have registered an FIR under Section 105 (non -perception murder), 110 (attempted murder attempt) and 117 (voluntarily hurting) in connection with the explosion against the factory management based on the complaint of the family of a victim.

Apart from this, a senior official of Telangana Fire Department said that the company has no NOC from the department. There were no adequate security measures including fire alarm and heat sensors in the plant. The officer told PTI, ‘There is a process of obtaining a No Objection Certificate. This is an online process. Once a firm applies online, a committee decides on it. This unit has not applied for any NOC and hence we have not released.

Senior IPS officer and director of Telangana Forensic Science Laboratories Shikha Goyal said that the laboratory had found about 50 samples of bodies and family members for DNA profiles. He told PTI, ‘The process of profileing is going on. It went on all night. Whatever samples we have received should be completed till date. A revenue department official said on Tuesday that only 14 bodies have been identified, while the remaining DNA profiles are required.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said on Tuesday that his government would talk to the management of Sigachi Industries Limited to ensure that the families of the victims are given compensation of Rs 1 crore. The CM had also said that the seriously injured people will get Rs 10 lakh, while those who are injured, but can start the work after recovering, they will be given five lakh rupees.
