On Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Ghana, Ghanai citizen of Indian origin Mayank Singh said, ‘I have been living in Ghana for the last 15 years. After 30 years, an Indian Prime Minister Ghana is coming. We feel as if we are going to welcome someone. He has developed India in the last 11 years and has also elevated the name of India on the global stage.

PM Modi’s entire program
In the first phase of the yatra, PM Modi will stay in Ghana from July 2 to 3. This will be an Indian PM’s first Ghana Yatra in three decades. He will discuss increasing economic, energy and defense cooperation in a bilateral meeting with the President of Ghana. He will be in Trinidad-Tobago on 3-4 July. This will be the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister after 1999. In the third phase of the yatra, the Prime Minister will visit Argentina from 4-5 July and discuss partnerships in many areas including defense, agriculture, mining, oil and gas, trade. Then the BRICS will go to Brazil to attend the meeting. PM will reach Namibia on 9 July. He is also expected to give a speech in Parliament there.

He will be traveling to Ghana, Trinidad-Tobago, Argentina, Brazil and Namibia from July 2 to 9. During this period, on July 6 and 7, he will participate in the 17th BRICS summit in Brazil. This is expected to give a new dimension to India’s relations with global South countries.
