Operation sindhu: Due to the war between Iran and Israel, the Government of India is busy in removing its people safe from there. A total of 827 Indians have been extracted from Iran so far. Another aircraft from Mashhad reached New Delhi on Saturday (June 21, 2025) with 310 citizens.
Earlier on Friday night, 407 Indians returned. 290 people, including 190 Kashmiri students, returned from the flight at 10:30 pm. Among them were people from Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka and West Bengal. There were 117 people in the flight that came late in the night.
On Thursday, 110 Indian students returned to their homeland via Armenia and Doha. Passengers who reached Delhi from Iran raised slogans of Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai at the airport.

‘We thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi’
Riyazul Hasan, an Indian citizen expelled from Iran under Operation Sindhu, while talking to news agency ANI said that the situation is not good there. We saw from our hotel window that missiles were coming, which were stopped in the air itself. We have got relief from coming back to India. We have come through the embassy. We thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Talking to ANI, Indian citizen Nadeem Asghar, who arrived in Delhi from Iran, said that I am thankful to my country that they kept us safe there and brought back safely. As soon as the situation deteriorated in Iran, the embassy took us out from there .. I am very grateful to the Government of India.

‘Indian Embassy helped us a lot’
Farzana Abdi, brought from Iran to India under Operation Indus, said that we are coming back from Iran. There was a lot of fighting and missiles were fired. The Indian Embassy helped us a lot and brought us here. We are very happy to come back to India. India is the best country in the world.
