Monsoon Likely to Reach Kerala in 4-5 Days Imd Predict Know All About It – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live


The south-west monsoon can knock in Kerala ahead of an estimated time. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday that the southwest monsoon is expected to reach Kerala in the next four-five days. This is long before the normal date of June 1. The Meteorological Department had earlier predicted that the monsoon would knock in Kerala by 27 May. According to IMD data, if the monsoon reaches Kerala as expected, it will knock the most quickly since 2009. Then it started on 23 May.

IMD said in an update on Tuesday afternoon that the circumstances are likely to be favorable for knocking the monsoon in Kerala during the next 4-5 days. The southwest monsoon usually knocks in Kerala by 1 June. After this, it covers the entire country by 8 July. It begins to retreat from northwest India around 17 September and go back completely by 15 October.

On May 30 last year, the monsoon knocked in the southern state. The monsoon in 2023 arrived on 8 June, 2022 on 29 May, 2021 on 3 June, 2020 on 1 June, 2019 on 8 June and on 29 May in 2018. IMD had estimated more than normal rainfall in the 2025 monsoon season in April. The possibility of El Nino’s position was rejected in this. Al Nino is responsible for less than normal rainfall in the Indian subcontinent.

  • Rainfall is considered ‘normal’ between 96 percent of 87 cm average of 50 years and 104 percent.
  • Less than 90 percent of the long -term average rainfall is considered ‘less’.

  • Between 105 percent to 110 percent is believed to be ‘more than normal’.
  • More than 110 percent of the rainfall is considered ‘more’ rainfall.
