Flights at Srinagar Airport were affected due to strong wind and nine flights had to be canceled. The Meteorological Department has predicted the maximum temperature to fall by 2-5 degrees in these areas in the next two days.

Rainfall next four days in Maharashtra, Goa

According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area has also been formed from the north interior Karnataka to South Tamil Nadu at the lower anger levels. Due to this effect, light rains may occur in Central Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa between 29 March to 1 April. There is also a possibility of lightning fall in some places. During this period, winds can also move at a speed of 30-50 kmph. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms in Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Coastal Karnataka, South Inner Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.

There is a possibility of rain in these states, hail fell in many places

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, during the last 24 hours on Friday morning, there were storms in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Haryana, National Capital Delhi and the surrounding areas and Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, there was hailstorm at different places in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Due to this effect, on Saturday, these areas are expected to cause superficial winds at a speed of 20-30 km. A low pressure area has been formed in the lower anger from Bihar to Northeast Assam. Light rains may also occur in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Electricity supply interrupted in Kashmir

In many parts of Kashmir including Srinagar, nine flights had to be canceled from Srinagar International Airport due to winds of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour. Two had to be sent to another place and many flights were delayed. Power supply was interrupted by pillars and wire breakdowns in several parts in the valley. The roofs and vehicles of many houses have also been damaged due to falling trees. The administration has advised tourists not to go to Dal Lake. Director of Meteorological Center, Srinagar, Dr. Mukhtiar Ahmed said that in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi etc. in North India, there have been strong winds for the last two days, which showed in Kashmir.

The danger of avalanche in Ganderbal and Kupwara

The administration has predicted avalanche in areas above 2,300 meters in Ganderbal and Kupwara districts during the next 24 hours. People living in these areas have been advised to take precautions, avoid going to avalanche possible areas and vacate unsafe settlements near the avalanche route. The administration has asked to dial 112 for assistance.

Mercury reached 35 degrees in Una

The weather was clear on Friday in all areas of the state including Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. The maximum temperature in Una has reached 35 degrees. Along with the plains, the mountainous areas have also started to heat up with the heat. Meteorological Center Shimla has predicted the weather to remain clear in the entire state till April 3. On Friday, Shimla recorded a maximum temperature of 21.8 degrees Celsius.
