Character Ai Introduces Parental Insights Feature Allowing Parents to Track Teen Chatbot Activity All Details

Character.ai has launched a new feature called Parental Insights keeping in mind the safety of teenage users. Through this feature, teenage users will be able to send a weekly report to their parents, in which their chatbot activity will be overwhelmed. The report will show how much time was spent, which characters had the most conversation with and how long were chatted with each character. However, it will not have complete content of chat, so that the privacy of the user remains.

Character.ai step Keeping in mind the concerns, which were being raised to spend more time with children’s chatbots and watching inappropriate content. In recent months, several cases were registered against the company, alleging that some chatbots gave unfair or damage answers. According to reports, Apple and Google also warned the platform to be strict on its policy.

The company has added several safety upgrade to teenage users since last year. Now users under the age of 18 have been shifted to a separate AI model, which avoids sensitive content. Also, the notification is also given on the platform that these chatbots are not a real human being.

The Parental Insights feature is completely optional and it can be activated by going to the settings of Character.Ai. Parents will not need to create an account to access it.

Constant questions are being raised about AI chatbots and new regulations are also applying in different countries. In such a situation, this new feature of Character.ai can be considered one step ahead, but this will not be the last change. In the coming time, AI companies may have to face more strict rules regarding user safety.
