Google Assistant will be closed by the end of this year. The company has said that most of the mobile devices will be upgraded to Gemini by the end of the year and the journey of Google Assistant launched in 2016 will end. Google says that it is a capable assistant, but now users want a more personalized assistant and Gemini fulfills the need. The company officially announced this, saying that Google Assistant is being retired and then Gemini will save the only option.

AI is powered gemini

Gemini is an AI Assistant and is designed with advanced language undersanding and reasoning. Google says that several lakh people have switched from Google Assistant to Gemini and they believe that it is very helpful. Therefore, in the coming months and mobile users will be shifted from Google Assistant to Gemini and by the end of the year, Google Assistant will not be accessible for most mobile devices. The company says that the Assistant should have contactschual awareness. There should be no problem while interacting with apps and service, but Google Assistant does not have these features. However, Google Assistant can be accessed in mobiles with RAM less than 2GB and Android 10 operating systems.

Increasing demand for conversational model

Currently, the demand for more conversional and AI-driving interaction is increasing instead of Assistant from Basic Voice Command. Recently, Amazon has also made his Alexa more convenient. Google says that along with mobile, home devices like tabs, cars, connected devices, speakers and TVs will also be upgraded with Gemini.
