A shocking incident has come to light in Kanpur, UP, where a rickshaw puller has accused the policemen of assaulting them and snatching money. The victim says that he had called dial 112 for help at midnight. Two constables had reached the spot. But instead of helping, they beat up the rickshaw puller and also snatched Rs 675 from his pocket. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has also reacted to this incident. He wrote on ‘X’ – ‘Such conditions under BJP rule, lost trust in police.’

Actually, the whole matter is of Chakeri police station area of ​​Kanpur. The victim, rickshaw puller Upendra Kumar, said that he was going home after parking his owner’s e-rickshaw at 11 pm. But no means were available at night. During this time someone said that help can be obtained by calling dial number 112. Because, the Chief Minister has ordered that if a person does not get any means, the police will take him to his home.

In such a situation, Upendra Kumar called the police by dialing 112. Within a few minutes, two policemen arrived riding on a bike. It is alleged that as soon as Upendra told them to send him home, the constables got angry and started beating him. Even Upendra’s clothes got torn in this. Allegedly Rs 675 kept in his pocket were also snatched.

Upendra Kumar, who was injured due to police beating, called dial number 108 and called an ambulance, which took him to Kashiram Hospital, where he was treated. The next day, Upendra lodged a complaint in the police station but no action was taken. Then he went to Mahakumbh with his family. Attended sister-in-law’s wedding. After returning from there, when he went to the police station and asked what action was taken against the accused policemen, he was sent away. On which Upendra now narrated his ordeal in front of the media.

In this case, ACP Dilip Singh of Chakeri area says that the rickshaw puller has been called. He will be talked to. It will also be a matter of investigation as to why he did not complain to the police for so many days. Whatever facts come to light, action will be taken accordingly.
