Dhanbad Police has got great success against cyber crime. Under the leadership of City SP Ritvik Srivastava, the police raided ‘Maa Shanti Guest House’ located near Khalsa Hotel in Govindpur police station area and arrested four vicious cyber thugs.
The surprising thing is that all the arrested accused are educated and despite being graduates, they had made cyber fraud their business. The police caught the accused red handed while committing fraud inside the guest house.

Used to cheat by sending APK file
Police interrogation has revealed that this gang used to trick common people and send APK files on their mobiles. As soon as a person downloads this file, his mobile phone gets completely hacked. After this the fraudsters would gain access to the bank accounts and withdraw money from the account. Apart from this, this gang was also expert in hacking WhatsApp accounts. City SP Ritwik Srivastava gave information about this entire matter in a press conference on Wednesday.

City SP said that the police had received information that some youths were involved in suspicious activities in a guest house near Khalsa Hotel. As soon as the information was received, a special team was formed and taking immediate action the guest house was raided. Four youths were arrested from the spot while committing cyber fraud.
Identification and seizure of accused
The arrested accused have been identified as Giridih resident Ranjit Yadav, Pawan Kumar Mandal, Rahul Kumar Mandal and Bihar resident Vipin Kumar Paswan. During the search, the police seized 13 mobile phones, WhatsApp chats, digital records related to money transactions and a car from the accused, which was being used in the fraud.
Wires connected to other states also
Investigation has also revealed that this gang has connections to other states. Three cyber crime complaints are already registered against the bank account of accused Vipin Kumar Paswan in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Maharashtra. City SP has appealed to the common people not to download any link or APK file coming from unknown numbers, as it can be a trap to drain your bank account.
