A pickup vehicle went out of control and overturned in the ghat area near village Toora Borgaon on Khedli Bazar-Bordehi road under Betul district of Madhya Pradesh. 31 villagers traveling in the vehicle were injured in this accident. All the people were coming from village Semaria of Chhindwara district to participate in the tenth program organized in Multai.
There was chaos at the spot after the accident. As soon as the information was received, all the injured were taken to Multai Government Hospital through three ambulances, where they were given first aid. Hospital’s BMO Praveen Meena said that most of the injured have suffered minor and internal injuries and the condition of all is currently stable. According to the injured, while trying to save a motorcyclist who suddenly came in front, the pickup driver lost control, due to which the vehicle overturned. Apart from Semaria, villagers from Umendol and Chopna areas are also among the injured. Women, elderly people and children have also been injured in the accident.

This incident has once again highlighted the serious problem of carrying passengers in goods vehicles. People are continuously being transported in the area by pickups and other cargo vehicles, but despite this, effective action is not being taken. Due to this negligence, accidents are happening every day in rural areas, putting people’s lives at risk.
