Talking to ABP News on Wednesday (December 24, 2025), RJD spokesperson Ejaz Ahmed said that the BJP top leadership wants to remove Nitish Kumar from the post of Chief Minister. Whoever’s name Nitish Kumar suggests, BJP will make him the CM. Because BJP is seeing that Nitish is mentally unwell. What actions are they doing on public platforms?
The RJD leader said that Nitish Kumar has made it clear that he will not leave the post of CM. Those who have BJP ideologies within JDU want to take BJP’s politics forward by keeping Nishant Kumar in the forefront. On a question, he said that whether Nishant will be made CM or not is his internal matter. The Bhunja party within JDU also wants to remove Nitish Kumar from the post of CM.
‘Nitish Kumar should not be allowed to become CM’
Ijaz said that it was decided even before the elections that Nitish should not be allowed to become the CM, but the way the results came, BJP was forced to make Nitish the CM. Now she wants relief.
Are the doors of grand alliance open for Nitish? On this he said, “Whoever wants to come to the Grand Alliance with our ideas, we will welcome them, but talks will take place as per what we decide. In Nitish’s meeting with PM Modi… Amit Shah, there was no discussion on the development of Bihar. There was discussion on removal from the post of CM.”
What did BJP say on RJD’s claim?
BJP has reacted to the RJD leader’s claim. BJP spokesperson Kuntal Krishna said that Lalu’s party is going through a crisis. Lalu is unwell. Tejashwi is missing. There has been a crushing defeat in the elections, hence RJD leaders and workers are mentally disturbed, hence indiscriminate statements are being made. NDA government is for five years. Nitish Kumar is the head of NDA. We want educated youth to enter politics. Nishant Kumar is an engineer. They are educated youth. If JDU and the public want, Nishant Kumar will come into active politics.
