Banks will remain closed on these days in your city:-
- January 1, 2026 – Banks will remain closed in Aizawl, Chennai, Gangtok, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, Kolkata and Shillong due to New Year Day/Gan-Ngai.
- 2 January 2026 – Due to New Year celebration/Mannam Jayanti, there will be bank holiday in Aizawl, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
- January 3, 2026 – Hazrat Ali’s birthday, due to which banks in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, will remain closed.

- January 4, 2026 – Due to Sunday being a holiday, there will be a holiday for banks across the country.
- 10 January 2026 – Being the second Saturday of the month, there will be a holiday for all the banks in the country.
- 11 January 2026 – Banks across the country will remain closed due to Sunday holiday.
- 12 January 2026 – Due to Swami Vivekananda’s birthday, there will be a bank holiday in Kolkata on this day.

- 14 January 2026 – Makar Sankranti/Magh Bihu is on this day, hence there will be a holiday for banks of Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati and Itanagar.
- 15 January 2026 – Banks of Bengaluru, Chennai, Gangtok, Hyderabad and Vijayawada will remain closed due to Uttarayan Punyakal/Pongal/Maghe Sankranti/Makar Sankranti.
- 16 January 2026 – There will be a bank holiday in Chennai due to Thiruvalluvar Day.

- 17 January 2026 – Banks will remain closed in Chennai due to Uzhavar Thirunal.
- 18 January 2026 – This day will be a Sunday holiday due to which banks across the country will remain closed.
- 23 January 2026 – Bank holiday in Agartala, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata due to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birthday/Saraswati Puja (Shri Panchami)/Veer Surendrasai Jayanti/Basant Panchami.
