The NIA court of Patiala House Court in Delhi on Thursday (December 18, 2025) has convicted two accused in the case of conspiring to carry out terrorist attacks in the country. The names of the two accused who have been convicted by the NIA court are Zahoor Ahmed Peer and Nazir Ahmed Peer. The NIA court has convicted both the accused under sections 18, 19 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
What were the allegations against the accused,
In fact, both the convicts, Zahoor Ahmed Peer and Nazir Ahmed Peer, were accused of conspiring with terrorist Bahadur Ali to commit a terrorist incident, harboring and helping terrorists. Terrorist Bahadur Ali had infiltrated into India from Pakistan to instigate tension in Kashmir after the assassination of Burhan Wani, commander of Pakistani terrorist organization Hizbul.
The court will give its verdict next year
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had arrested Nazir Ahmed Peer and Zahoor Ahmed Peer, residents of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, in September 2017. After this the NIA presented both the accused in the court. After this, after a long legal process, the special NIA court of Delhi Patiala House Court has proved all the charges against both the accused and declared them guilty. After this, the court will now give its verdict regarding the punishment of these two culprits on January 8, 2026 next year.
Delhi terrorist attack NIA investigating
On the other hand, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is also rapidly investigating a car blast that took place outside the Red Fort of the country’s capital Delhi. The national agency has so far arrested many people in connection with the Delhi terrorist attack. At the same time, the white collar terror module has also been exposed in this terrorist attack. The investigation of this terror module was also linked to Al Falah University located in Faridabad of Haryana state. After the confirmation of the involvement of many doctors working in Al Falah University in terrorist activities, the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Association of Indian Universities are also investigating and there is a crisis regarding the recognition of the university.
