If you are fed up with watching Instagram reels on your phone, then now you can watch these short videos on TV. Instagram has launched a special app focusing on Reels, through which Reels can be enjoyed on TV also. Leaks about this were coming out for some time and now the company has officially launched it. After the popularity of Reels and now its availability on TV, YouTube is going to face tough competition.
How will the app work on TV?
Instagram’s TV app will work slightly differently from the mobile app. After logging in to the TV app, the user will see reels organized into different channels like music, sports highlights, travel and trending moments etc. Instagram says that this will make it easier for users to find the content of their choice. A horizontal collection of personalized and video thumbnails will be available on its home screen. As soon as you click on any thumbnail, its full portrait will appear with video captions. Like mobile, the next reel can be seen by swiping up.

When will we be able to watch reels on TV in India?
Instagram is still testing this app and it has been rolled out only as a pilot project for Amazon Fire TV devices in the US. After getting feedback from here, the company can make necessary changes and gradually launch it for other countries and devices. It is believed that this entire process may take a few weeks.
