The shooter has been identified as Harpinder Singh Singh. It is being told that accused Harpinder Singh had a main role in the murder case of Rana Balachauria. According to the police, there was a tie-up between Rana and Jaggu Bhagwanpuriya regarding Kabaddi tournaments and there was a rivalry going on with the rival gangs regarding this.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Harmandeep Singh Hans said that the murder of Rana Balachauria was completely planned. Two shooters riding a bike approached Rana on the pretext of taking a selfie and shot him in the head with a 30 bore pistol. The attackers fled from the spot after committing the crime.
