Royal Challengers Bangalore had 8 slots vacant to buy in the IPL auction. That is, RCB had retained 17 of its players in the team through retention, which also includes a big name like Virat Kohli. RCB’s biggest purchase in this year’s auction was Venkatesh Iyer, who was released by Kolkata Knight Riders from their team before the auction.
