The right-handed batsman Cameron Green was dismissed for a two-ball duck by England fast bowler Jofra Archer on Day 1 of the third Test during the Ashes 2025–26.
Cameron Green attracted bids from the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Chennai Super Kings at the auction. Chennai pushed the price close to Rs 25 crore, but KKR, who had a massive purse of Rs 64.3 crore, signed the all-rounder for Rs 25.2 crore. Green’s failure once again drew attention, with many pointing to his ongoing struggle for form. He has not scored a half-century in any format over the past six months.
Australia were also without Steve Smith, who missed the match due to illness. Pat Cummins returned to lead the side, while spinner Nathan Lyon was included in the playing XI.
