The Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) elections held for the first time in Haryana have been completed peacefully. Sardar Jagdish Singh Jhinda group and independent candidates dominated the elections. Talking about sectarian parties, maximum 11 members of Jhinda group won, while 22 independents defeated the candidates of sectarian parties.

The special thing about the election was that the Sikh leader Sant Baljit Singh Daduwal, who was currently heading the Dharma Prachar Committee of the Adhoc Committee, himself lost the election. He had to face a crushing defeat from Ward 35 Kalanwali by 1771 votes. The highest turnout was recorded at 90 percent in Kalanwali and the lowest at 56 percent in Kaithal.

Sardar Didar Singh Nalvi has won the election from Ward 13 Shahabad, but his victory margin was 200. Sikh leader Baldev Singh Kayampuri himself was not in the election field, but 4 members of his faction have registered victory. Haryana Sikh Ekta Dal had given its support to seven candidates, out of which 3 have won. Apart from this, two candidates of Sikh Samaj organization have won.
