Apple has missing a feature from its latest flagship iPhone 17 Pro models, which is available in older iPhones. This feature is also available in the iPhone 12 Pro launched in 2020, but it is not provided in the latest Pro model. Actually, many users had complained that they are not able to activate the night mode during portrait mode in the camera. Users were considering it a software bug, but now Apple has also admitted that the latest Pro models are not supporting this feature.
Night mode not activating in portrait mode
Many users on Reddit and other platforms complained that they are not able to activate night mode when the camera is in portrait mode. Some also said that when they take a photo of someone in normal night mode, Pro Models is not saving the depth data, which means that they cannot convert it into a portrait after taking the photo. It has also been written on Apple’s support page that this feature is not available in iPhone 17 Pro models.

According to the Apple support page, this feature is available in iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, but it is missing from the iPhone 17 Pro model. Apple has not yet explained why this feature was not included in 17 Pro models. However, reports are saying that it can be rolled out in the upcoming update.
