There was panic in Jaipur on Friday morning when Rajasthan High Court received a bomb threat through email. As soon as the regular work of the court started, the administration noticed this threatening email, after which the security agencies were alerted. The High Court premises were evacuated as a precautionary measure and all the lawyers, litigants and employees were sent out onto the street. Within minutes of receiving the threat, several police teams reached the High Court. Bomb Disposal Squad and Dog Squad started intensive search operation in the premises. Security agencies divided the entire campus into several zones and started a combing operation so that any suspicious object could be identified as soon as possible.

Due to this sudden incident in the court, the hearing going on in all the court rooms was immediately stopped. The police had to struggle a lot to evict the large number of plaintiffs, defendants and lawyers present since morning by forming a security cordon. A huge crowd and an atmosphere of chaos were seen outside the High Court.

Such threats are being received continuously in Rajasthan for the last seven months. In most of the cases, threats to bomb public places, courts, government offices and religious places are being sent through emails. Just yesterday, Ajmer Dargah and Collectorate had received a bomb threat, which was later found to be fake. Although these threats have been proven false every time, the police are still taking every alert seriously and implementing security arrangements on a large scale.

Jaipur Police says that a cyber team has also been deployed to identify the person sending the threat. In recent months, the use of foreign servers and fake email IDs has come to light several times, making the investigation more challenging. However, there is no information about any suspicious object being found after this search operation. After the search, entry into the court premises was resumed. The police have appealed to the people not to pay attention to rumors and follow the instructions of the administration.
