IND vs SA 3rd ODI: Visakhapatnam is buzzing with the name of Virat Kohli these days. The three-match ODI series between India and South Africa is to be decided here. As the match day is approaching, Kohli-mania has reached its peak in the city. The situation has become such that now there is panic for those tickets for which buyers were not found earlier.

When Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) put the tickets for the third ODI on online sale on November 28, there was a very slow response. The officials had thought that perhaps this time there would be less crowd in the match, so much so that they were preparing to open physical counters.
But after Virat Kohli scored two consecutive centuries in Ranchi and Raipur, the whole atmosphere changed. ACA media and operations team member Y Venkatesh told The Indian Express that after Kohli’s century, the second and third phase of tickets got filled within minutes. The demand for tickets which no one was buying earlier has suddenly increased manifold.
Kohli-mania seen even at the airport
The excitement before the match was not limited to online booking only. Even before Team India reached Visakhapatnam, a large number of people gathered at the airport. Despite the flight delay, fans kept waiting for hours. As soon as Virat and the other players came out, the airport echoed with applause and noise.
An even more interesting sight was seen at Raipur Airport. Passengers upset with the delay were confronting the airline, but as soon as they saw Team India, the atmosphere became completely calm and pleasant. Seeing Virat coming down the escalator, people took out their mobile cameras and excitement was seen everywhere.
Series finale and fans’ expectations
Now all eyes are on the third and final ODI to be held on 6 December. The biggest hope of the fans is that Virat Kohli scores a century in the third match also and Team India wins the series.
