9 important agreements possible between Russia and India

Russia ready to give SU-57 jet to India

Russia is ready to give its Su-57 stealth fighter jet and its technology to India unconditionally. Russian Su-57 jets are considered a successor to America’s F-35.

Like Su-57, F-35 is also a 5th generation fighter aircraft. It has been designed in such a way that it can dodge enemy radar.

Russia says that there will be no restriction on the technology of Su-57. Information about engines, radar, stealth technology and modern weapons can also be given in it.

Russia also said that if India wants, Su-57 can be made in India. Russia has also proposed joint planning to India to make two-seater Su-57.

Special Strategic Partnership between India and Russia

There is a ‘Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership’ between India and Russia. Under this, both the countries have been cooperating with each other in weapons, technology and defense for a long time. Under this relationship, talks can be taken forward on modern weapons like Su-57 and S-500.

The Indian Air Force is currently facing a shortage of fighter jets and it already has more than 200 Russian fighter jets. In such a situation, it will be easy for it to adopt the next generation Russian fighter aircraft.

Sources say that such long range missiles can be installed in Su-57 that India’s strength will increase significantly. Apart from this, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has already been repairing and maintaining Russian aircraft, so servicing of new jets like Su-57 can also be done easily in India.

India’s interest in the S-500 missile defense system has also increased, because it can intercept long-range missiles and hypersonic missiles.

India-Russia trade target to reach 100 billion dollars

Putin will participate in the 23rd India-Russia summit today. This is part of the annual meeting between India and Russia. Every year both the countries take turns hosting this meeting. This time it is India’s turn.

The objective of this summit is that both the countries should take their trade to 100 billion dollars by 2030. In this forum, new partnerships in many sectors like energy, investment, technology and industry will be discussed.

Agreement possible on jobs in Russia for Indian workers

India and Russia are also going to discuss space, nuclear energy, science-technology, trade and development of ports. India is running a nuclear power plant in Kudankulam (Tamil Nadu) with the help of Russia. There can also be talks about taking this project forward.

Both countries can also talk about a skill development agreement. After the war in Russia, there has been a shortage of workers in many sectors. Russia wants technical experts, medical staff, engineers and other trained workers from India to come to work there.

This can also be a big opportunity for India, because it will provide new job opportunities to Indians abroad. There is a possibility of a mobility pact to provide employment to 10 lakh skilled workers from India in Russia.

This is also important because till now India has mobility pacts only with Germany and Israel. Civil nuclear deal is also with America and France.

There may be talks on creating a new payment system

Energy will also be a big issue in Putin’s meeting today. Russia is selling cheap crude oil to India, but due to pressure from America and European countries, there are difficulties in payment.

Both countries can agree to create a new payment system, so that trade continues without interruption. This may include systems like rupee-ruble trade, digital payments or use of a third country bank.

Along with this, Russia can also give India an opportunity to invest in energy projects in the Arctic region, where Russia is developing the world’s largest oil and gas reserves.
