Poonam, accused of murdering three innocent girls and her own son, was arrested by the police on Tuesday night. Where Jiya was murdered, police took stock
Sector-29 police station has also started its investigation in the case of murder of Jiya (9) that took place in Siwah village. Deepak of Siwah village had lodged an FIR against Poonam in Police Station Sector-29. He said that his uncle’s daughter Poonam had murdered his daughter Jiya on August 19. On Wednesday night, Sector-29 police station had registered an FIR and started investigation. On Thursday, police station in-charge Anil Kumar reached the spot with his team and investigated. The family members also got information about the incident.

Family members told that on the day of the incident, the accused had slept with Jiya in their house. Sometime during the night, she took Jiya to the terrace of the adjoining plot through the roof, came down the stairs and killed the girl by drowning her in a tank made for watering animals. Police station in-charge Anil said that accused Poonam will be taken from jail on production warrant and interrogated. The incident site will also be marked.
