Madhuri shifted to America in 1999 after marrying Dr. Shriram Nene. In 2011, she returned to India with her husband and two sons.

Madhuri further says- ‘When we came to India, my sons were 6-7 years old. He didn’t know anything in the US but when he started going to school in India, he gradually came to know who I was. Some child in school would come and say that you are very lucky because your mother is Madhuri Dixit. Then they come to me and say that you are our mother. Then why do they say that we are lucky?

Ranveer asks Madhuri which was the first film she showed to her sons. In response to this question, she says that it does not happen in film houses that we call and say, children, come and watch my film.

Then she further says- ‘My elder son recently watched ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ and he liked it very much. He told me that mother you never showed us this film before. I asked him if he was ever interested in watching a movie.
