Delhi Blast: Students’ families upset after Al Falah University name appears in terror probe, wrote letter to government – Students Families Upset After Al Falah University Name Appears In Terror Probe

The families of students studying at Al Falah University have written letters to the central and state governments, demanding attention to the future of the students. This letter has been written to Haryana Health Minister, DG Health and Union Health Ministry. On behalf of the family members, it has been said that some doctors and other staff associated with Al-Falah University have been arrested in the case related to terrorism and Delhi bomb blasts. Central and state agencies are investigating.

Al-Falah University and its medical college are being described as a terror hub or a campus directly linked to terror. This has damaged the university’s image and students and parents fear that this stigma will be forever attached to the university’s name. For many years, a degree from Al-Falah will be viewed with suspicion or hesitation by employers, licensing bodies and higher-education institutions in India and abroad.

There is a possibility that the recognition of the university may be withdrawn or suspended. This can have a direct impact on the validity and acceptability of the degree of the students. Students are wondering whether their years of hard work will go in vain due to circumstances that are completely out of their control.

The motive behind this is said to be to take terror funding in the name of grant by showing the admission of patients as per these fake files.

Petition demanding completion of trial of Red Fort blast in 6 months rejected

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday refused to hear a public interest litigation (PIL). The petition demanded formation of a committee to monitor the hearing of the Red Fort bomb blast case and directions to complete the trial within six months. A bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela said that it cannot monitor a case whose trial has not even started.

Justice Gedela asked, what is this? The hearing hasn’t even started, and you want us to monitor how the hearing is run? I could understand if it was pending for many years, but it hasn’t even started. Chief Justice Upadhyay said that the petitioner has failed to show that his fundamental rights have been violated. He said, this PIL is based on your experience that the previous hearings took many years. And so, we should assume that this hearing will also take time? You want monitoring of investigation, filing of chargesheet. Should we monitor?

this is the case

The petition, filed by former MLA Dr Pankaj Pushkar, had sought a direction to set up a court-monitored supervision mechanism or committee to monitor all stages of the trial. Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Chetan Sharma, appearing for the Central Government, said that the PIL is based on misconceptions and the petitioners have not considered it necessary to point out the fact that the investigation is no longer with the Delhi Police, but has been transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Sharma said that now this case will be tried under UAPA.
