Land For Job Case: Will problems of Lalu family increase or will they get relief? The court will give its verdict tomorrow on framing of charges – Land For Job Scam Lalu Prasad Yadav Family Delhi Court Charge Framing CBI Case Railway Recruitment

A Delhi court is likely to pronounce its order on Thursday on framing of charges in the alleged land-for-job scam involving RJD chief and former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his family members and other accused. Earlier on November 10, Special CBI Judge Vishal Gogane had postponed the order while hearing the case filed by CBI and fixed December 4 as the next date. Now the court will decide whether there is enough evidence to frame charges or not.

CBI has filed a charge sheet against Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, his son and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and others in this alleged scam.

According to the prosecution, Group-D category appointments in the West Central Railway zone (Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh) were made between 2004 and 2009 when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister. It is alleged that in exchange for these appointments, pieces of land were donated or transferred by the recruiters, which were registered in the name of the Lalu family or people close to them. The CBI claims that these appointments were made contrary to the rules and the transactions related to them were related to benami properties, which fall under the ambit of criminal misconduct and conspiracy.
