The trend of weakness in the rupee against the US dollar continued on Wednesday also. The rupee fell 9 paise to 90.05 per dollar in early trade at the interbank foreign exchange market, its lowest ever level. Meanwhile, the Congress party has shared Prime Minister Modi’s old statement on social media. In this, Modi is seen saying that the way the dollar is strengthening and the rupee is weakening, India will not be able to survive in global trade. Our traders will not be able to bear this burden, but the government sitting in Delhi is not giving any reaction.

After this, Congress targeted the PM and said that this time… the rupee crossed 90.

Condition of rupee this week

The Indian rupee slipped to its new all-time low with a major fall in the forex market on Monday. In early trade, the rupee came under pressure and fell by 34 paise to a record low of 89.79 against the dollar.

The rupee, after touching the psychological level of Rs 90 against the US dollar on Tuesday, closed at an all-time low of Rs 89.95 (provisional), down by 42 paise.

Before 2025, a big decline in the rupee was seen in the year 2022. Talking about the performance of the last one month, the rupee has fallen by 90 paise since November 3. A decline of 4.4% was recorded in the last 6 months.
