Israel has claimed that it has killed 40 Hamas boys trapped in the tunnel. These fighters were present in the tunnels of Rafah, the southern city of Gaza.

The Israeli Army issued a statement on Sunday night saying that the tunnels in Rafah were being destroyed to eliminate armed fighters. More than 40 fighters have been killed inside the tunnels in the last week.

Israel has already claimed to have killed and arrested many fighters in Rafah. However, Hamas has not responded to these claims.

According to Israeli media reports, about 200 Hamas fighters have been trapped under the ground of Rafah since March. Despite Hamas’s demand, Israel is not ready to give them a way out.

Fighters trapped in tunnel unaware of ceasefire between Hamas and Israel

Reuters had reported in its report last month that the Hamas fighters present in Rafah, who have not been contacted for the last 7-8 months, probably do not even know that the ceasefire has come into force. One of them said that it is necessary to expel those fighters from there to maintain the ceasefire.

Last month, on November 6, an agreement was proposed between Israel and Hamas. It was said that Hamas fighters should be given a way to escape safely. Instead of killing them, Israel should give them a chance to go to a third country or other part of Gaza. However, Israel has not agreed to this.

The Israeli army is blocking the exits from the tunnels in Rafah by filling them with cement.

Condition of surrender of arms in exchange for release of fighters.

Under the ceasefire agreement, in return for releasing the fighters, Hamas fighters will lay down their arms and give complete information about the tunnels built under Gaza. So that Israel will be able to destroy them. With this deal, Egypt wanted the ceasefire to last, because an increase in fighting in Rafah could lead to war again.

This proposal was in the knowledge of America and Qatar, so that the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza could be saved. Hamas has not given any answer on this till now. Israel has also rejected this proposal. He says that he will not make any compromise with terrorists.
