SIR for vote theft

Deputy leader of Congress Parliamentary Party, Tarun Gogoi said that votes are being stolen through SIR. Names of lakhs of voters are missing from the list. After Bihar, complaints are also coming from the states where SIR process has been started. The government should hold discussions immediately.

The government is sticking to its old stand on SIR… A government minister said that this is the administrative work of an autonomous and constitutional body, hence the government cannot respond to the discussion on it in Parliament. SIR has been successful in Bihar. The Supreme Court has also said that not a single complaint was registered there.
