Regarding the incident, Kotwa police station incharge Rajroop Rai says that there was a crowd of people at the spot for two hours and the same crowd identified the body as Roshni, daughter of Vinod Prasad, resident of Bairagi Tola of Kararia Panchayat of Kotwa police station area. . Then the police called the family members to the spot to identify the body, but no one from the deceased’s house came. The police became suspicious from here. In this regard, the police station incharge said that his house was about one and a half kilometers away from the spot, yet his parents did not reach the spot to see the dead body. Then the police station chief got tired and started investigation by registering an FIR on the statement of the watchman. Vinod Prasad had verbally informed the police about Roshni’s disappearance two days ago. The police asked for an application from Vinod Prasad in this regard, but he did not give the application. After a lot of pressure from the police, Vinod Prasad arrived to identify the body. When the daughter was missing for two days, no application was filed in the police station and when the dead body of a girl was found next to the house and she did not reach the spot, the police became suspicious and then her father was arrested by the police.
Father told the reason for murder
Regarding the incident, Motihari SP Swarna Prabhat said that Roshni’s father has been arrested. The accused father confessed to his crime and said that even after getting married, my daughter Roshni used to repeatedly run away from home and her in-laws with her lover. We explained to her many times but she was not ready to accept it. There was a lot of uproar in her in-laws’ house regarding this matter, as a result of which a Panchayat was held in her in-laws’ house and then she broke the relations with her in-laws and came to her maternal home. Even after coming to her parents’ house, Roshni kept meeting her lover. We were very worried about this matter also. The situation had become such that we were not able to walk in society with our heads held high. So, being fed up, we killed him and threw him into the water.
