NDA’s smaller allies also have dominance in Bihar: Ham overtakes Congress; Upendra Kushwaha’s party is also strong – Bihar Assembly Election Results: Jitan Ram Manjhi, Ham; Upendra Kushwaha, Rashtriya Lok Morcha In Election

According to the trend of counting of votes in Bihar Assembly elections, it is certain that NDA will come back to power. On one hand, BJP has become the largest party in the state, while JDU has secured the second position. In the seat distribution in NDA, BJP-JDU got 101-101 seats, Chirag Paswan’s LJP Ram Vilas got 29, and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha and Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha got 6-6 seats.

Performance of NDA constituents in elections

While on one hand BJP and JDU became number one and two parties in the assembly elections, Chirag Paswan has performed better than the main parties of the alliance. But the performance of Hindustani Awam Morcha and Rashtriya Lok Morcha, which are counted as small parties, is no less than that of other fellow parties. The performance of these two parties, which contested elections on only 6 seats, is better than many big parties.

Both parties ahead of Congress, CPI(M) and ML

Hindustani Awam Morcha is leading on five seats and Rashtriya Lok Morcha is currently leading on four seats. Whereas parties like Congress, CPI(M) and ML are lagging behind them.

Demonstration in 2020 assembly elections

In the Bihar Assembly elections 2020, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) had won four seats. NDA had won 125 seats in this election. Of these, maximum 74 seats went to BJP’s account. JDU had got 43 seats. RJD became the largest party in the state by winning 75 seats. With this, Congress won 19 seats and Left parties won 16 seats. Of these, 12 seats went to MLA and two seats each to CPI and CPI(M). Among other parties, AIMIM won five seats, BSP, LJP and Independent won one seat each.

Bihar Assembly Election 2025

Voting for the assembly elections in Bihar has been held in two phases, in which the first phase of voting took place on 6 November and the second phase of voting took place on 11 November. If we talk about voting percentage, while 65.08 percent voting took place in the first phase, a bumper 68.69 percent voting took place in the second phase. The total voting percentage in the state assembly elections has been recorded at 67.13.
