SP contributed 16 percent of the seats won by RJD in Bihar. SP President Akhilesh Yadav held public meetings for eight consecutive days in 25 assembly constituencies. Out of these, RJD won only four seats. NDA stormed the remaining 21 seats.
The interesting coincidence is that RJD has won 25 seats in Bihar and Akhilesh Yadav also campaigned on 25 seats only. However, out of the 25 seats won by RJD and where Akhilesh campaigned, only 4 seats are common. In this way, it can be said that while Akhilesh’s strike rate was 16 percent, the SP President also had 16 percent contribution in getting the seat for RJD in Bihar.
Of the seats where Akhilesh went to campaign, RJD candidates won in Raghunathpur, Bodhgaya, Rafiganj and Bisfi. However, Akhilesh Yadav has blamed SIR for the defeat of the Grand Alliance in Bihar.
