There is a triangular contest between Tej Pratap Yadav, Mukesh Roshan and Sanjay Singh on Mahua seat in Bihar Assembly elections 2025. This seat has become even more important due to family feud. Tej Pratap Yadav had lagged behind badly. After three rounds of counting, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) candidate Sanjay Kumar Singh is leading in Mahua assembly seat. Whereas, Tej Pratap Yadav remains at number three.
RJD’s official candidate on this seat is sitting MLA Mukesh Roshan. Mukesh had continuously tried to convince the voters that if they want to see Tejashwi Yadav becoming the Chief Minister, then the votes should go in his favor. Tejashwi Yadav himself is contesting for the third time from the nearby Raghopur seat and has been declared the chief ministerial face of the grand alliance. There is a sizeable number of Yadav voters in Mahua, who seem excited about Tejashwi’s name.
RJD had shown the way out to Tej Pratap
Earlier Tej Pratap Yadav had said that I am winning Mahua seat. We don’t prepare for celebration, we prepare for work. In fact, Tej Pratap was expelled from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and his family for six years, after which he founded Janashakti Janata Dal. He fielded 43 candidates in Bihar, most of whom were meant to challenge the RJD in Yadav-dominated areas.
What will happen to RJD’s rebel brother Tej Pratap?
Lalu Prasad Yadav’s younger son Tejashwi took over his father’s inheritance. At the same time, the Grand Alliance has made him the Chief Ministerial candidate. In such a situation, Lalu’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav was shown the way out. Tej Pratap has shown his intention of clean politics by forming his new party Janashakti Janata Dal (JJD). Now both the brothers are face to face. The results this time will also decide the direction of Tej Pratap’s politics.
